Taking things to a much more playful level for Marc by Marc Jacobs, the designer was inspired by the city of Miami and his ideal Marc girl taking a trip to this sunny destination.
Marc by Marc Jacobs Resort Collection for 2012 features three different versions of florals: day floral,beach floral and evening floral; polka dots in many shapes and sizes; and lipstick red looks for her to pack alongside her ubiquitous spectacles bright red and a tropical floral piece all part of his Miami girl aesthetic.
Look past the sparkly sequins and laser-cut leather florals, and essentially sweatshirts, button-downs, and T-shirts are the new building blocks for eveningwear, a casual mood that’s been brewing across the board since the fall collections.
