Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2012 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Lightness and sensuality were the exact synonyms of Roberto Cavalli’s new collection. The fascinating runway was held on MILAN, September 26, 2011.

The designer started his collection with models in sequined designs as if they were messengers from the gods. More important still, the designer was smart to attract the attention of the audience with his subtle choice of prints, colors, fabrics and cuts. Prints were all about floral or leopard patterns. Colors also were energetic with the use of; black, gold, cream, pink, yellow and orange colors. Lightness concept was totally delivered by using soft fabrics like; silk, printed chiffon, tulle, lace and leather.

As for the cuts, they were skirts, jackets, trousers and dresses. Skirts were short, pleated and drop waist. Jackets were long blazers with full sleeves. Moreover, trousers were fitted and straight whereas dresses were with knee length or maxi with tunic and Charleston shape.

Eventually, accessories like; bags, high-heeled shoes and bracelets were quite sufficient for the show.
