Cut Couture at Ed Hardy party
Aja Rock, Gilda Kirkpatrick and friends, and several catwalk models had their t-shirts cut whilst still on their bodies at the launch party last night of American street fashion label Ed Hardy.
The sexy, youthful label has arrived in New Zealand this week with the opening of a Newmarket store and to celebrate, they brought over celebrity stylist Adam Saaks from the US to perform his unique take on "cut couture" at the party.
Described as “Edward Scissorhands to the stars”, Saaks creates one-off customised t-shirts by slashing with scissors and tying strips together at the sides of the body, and weaving and pulling the fabric into cobweb effects that reveal lots of flesh.
