Orange Lipstick - A Spring 2011 Trend !

At the Marni show, Tom Pecheux decided on a bright orange lip (he used MAC Morange lipstick).

With so many vibrant colors beaming off the Spring 2011 runways it would be hard to classify just one color as the breakaway hit of the season. But we did anyway! Bright citrusy orange in a bevy of shades was a favorite on many a runway, including MaxMara, Tory Burch, Prada, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Versace and has already been spotted on members of the Hollywood style set. Hence our need to declare that orange is officially one of the key colors for spring. On that note, we decided to track down our favorite pieces for spring inspired by the orange-flavored runways (and one item that was actually seen on the runway!).

4) Color Block – $159 by Max Mara at MatchesWhen we first spotted MaxMara’s orange and white color blocked top on the runway, we couldn’t get it out of our mind! Then when we noticed it on Matches’ website for only $159 we knew we had to make it a permanent addition to our spring wardrobe.

6) Tangerine Dream – $98 at MadewellWe’re always buying safari style shirts in khaki, army green or classic white. Madewell’s silk safari shirt stays true to the cut of a safari shirt but the “french terracotta” shade freshens it up. Plus the silk construction means its light and airy!
Bright, vivid and full of life orange color is the best color of summer. This color is elevating the mood, makes you believe in you and your strength and introduce the life as holiday and fairy tale.
