FAMILY MEETING AT ROSENFELDER-STRAND END OF JULY 2011

Twelve countries were represented during this event, a real success for the organizers. Participants came from The Netherlands, Finland, India, Indonesia, Sweden, France, Belgium and Poland, from the Dominican Republic, but also from Australia and Turkistan and o fcourse from Germany. Many of then didn’t come especially for participating, but they soon got familiar with the games and joined us during these 10 days. A total of 498 people were present, 62 children or youngsters thereof. 71 people were on a stand by list and were waiting for a positive sign from the management to join our group, but that was impossible due a fully booked campsite. All activities had a great success but the main event was the nude running or walking, where I had the great honor to act as sponsor. 92 adults and 28 youngsters participated to this nude run or nude walking with a distance of 5 or 10 Km, depending on their individual choice. During this activity, 315€ were collected and forwarded to the DLRG (German-Life-Saving-Society). This society supervises the beaches during the whole main season at the Baltic Sea and elsewhere.Their delegates told use that this amount will be used to acquire a backpack with oxygen bottles for various applications. Thanks to Franz and his crew for organizing this competition. That was not very easy and thanks to Klaus and his 165 volunteers, who alternately prepared our evening meals and handled the drink shop. Thanks to Jeannine and her girlfriends for baking more than 400 waffles every evening. Thanks to Günther for supervising all the games and to Elke and Edgar for leaving this wonderful campsite at our disposal. Thanks to all participants who have contributed to the success of this event. Some of them already booked in advance for the next year. I felt free to ask a participant to give us his impressions about his 2nd participation in written form. You will find his report in the next issue of the FOCUS magazine.

39TH ALPE ADRIA MEETING AT FKK-SOLARIS (HR), 23-26 JUNE 2011

Eleven federations or countries with approximately 200 people joined the 39^th Alpe-Adriatic meeting. Following countries were present: Italy, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Russia, Ukraine, Croatia, France, Netherlands and Slovenia. For the  first time, 5 persons from Brazil joined us. The activities were various and consisted of:
volleyball, beach volleyball, ping-pong, chess, cross country runs (800 meters for adults and 400 meters for youngsters), tug-of-war by groups of 5 persons consisting of at least one female and one youngster. Tennis and pétanque competitions were also held and for the first time this year, we included badminton.

This family event, organized by the responsible for sports of the European Naturist Commission, takes place each year during an extended weekend for the surrounding countries and it’s now for the third time that SOLARIS welcomes us and does everything to satisfy us.

The members of the International Naturist Federation were the first ones to get the benefits associated to their membership card with the annual stamp. The holiday guests were also welcome and could register at any time because the event programme was displayed everywhere over the naturist centre and there was a standby for late registrations at the grounds.

Naturism is always under constant development and Croatia is one of the destinations having a lot of success; that’s one of the reasons why we are present there.

Even if the Croatian Federation is not very representative, we try to support them and give them the possibilities of growing. All this could not be done on this respective site without a partnership like the society of Valamar and the presence of many followers of this philosophy.

For the next year at the beginning of June, the 40^th meeting should have even more success; we expect your participation. Please mark the date: 7-9 June 2012.

The Hungarian federation will handle ping-pong, Slovenia stands for volleyball and beach volleyball, Russia and Ukraine will arrange badminton (appreciated by many participants this year), Austria will organize the cross country runs as well as the chess contest and Italy will be responsible for pétanque and perhaps for a card game competition.

There are actually no responsible for tennis and tug-of-war. New ideas are always welcome and should be proposed as soon as possible to our new responsible for Sports of EuNatCom.

 Important Information

Subsequent to our discussion during the EuNat meeting in Sweden, INF-FNI would like to organize the Utrecht Fair together with the federations. Unfortunately, the deadline for a reserving space at this fair is very short. Therefore, we are expecting your answer no later than on Monday, 27th of June.

Information: The fair will be held at Utrecht from the 10th to the 15th of January 2012. The costs for a place with 100 square meters will be 13’800.00€ and 7’150.00€ for one with 50 square meters. Extra services are not included in this price. These costs could be more favourable for all of you (and may be for your affiliated holiday centers too) if many federations would participate. Please be aware that the minimum required space is 6 square meters and that all extra services will be charged to the respective federations.

Subsequent to our discussion during the EuNat meeting in Sweden, INF-FNI would like to organize the Utrecht Fair together with the federations. Unfortunately, the deadline for a reserving space at this fair is very short. Therefore, we are expecting your answer no later than on Monday, 27th of June.

NFN CELEBRATES 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Dear colleague federation,

This year it is 50 years ago that the Naturist Federation of the Netherlands (NFN) was founded. In 1961 twelve naturist clubs decided that their shared interests could best be handled by a national federation. They proved to be right! Therefore in 2011 we celebrate our 50^th birthday and we would be honoured if you celebrate that glorious moment with us.

On Friday 25 November and Saturday 26 November we invite you to join us for a cheerful meeting and festive evening. We would like to welcome you on Friday around 15:00 PM and hope you will stay till the morning of Saturday, after breakfast (11:00 AM). Of course we pay for your overnight stay. On Friday afternoon there will be a reception and after that we will wine and dine happily together. After a good night’s sleep and breakfast, our official program finishes at 11:00 am. Of course you are free to extend your stay yourself if desired.

The party will take place at Preston Palace in Almelo. This is a town in the eastern part of The Netherlands, a two hour’s drive from Schiphol Airport. Special about Preston Palace is the naturist swimming pool, that allows us to also relax a little bit in a naturist manner.

We offer your organization an overnight stay in a hotel room for 1 or 2 people (as desired). Due to our time limit we don’t need to know who’s going to join us right away. However, we’d appreciate it if you’d let us know as soon as possible if you accept our invitation, so that we will be able to make the final reservations with the hotel. Please send your confirmation to manager Henk Jan Kamerbeek (directie@nfn.nl).

Later this year we will inform you in more detail about the location and the program. We’d be glad if you’d join us and thank you in advance for letting us know if we can welcome you in November.

NATFEST 2011

Natfest 2011 an International Naturist Festival will be held for its first time in Europe near Tarragona in north east Spain, running from noon September 19th to noon September 23rd 2011.

It can be reached from either Barcelona airport (50 mins ) or Reus airport (20 mins.) and excellent road access to the campsite via the major coastal route of the A7 and AP7.
Historically the average daytime temperature is 25`C so we are hoping history can repeat itself.

The campsite is situated just 800m from a textile and nudist beach near Tamarit, and although normally a clothed campsite, we have taken over the entire site so nudity will be permitted for the duration of the festival.

Accommodation ranges from camping through to wood and stone cabins or your own caravan / camper.

The site has a restaurant with bar facilities and a small supermarket, adult and child’s pool, table tennis, tennis, mini-golf, mini football, petanque, a zip wire (for the brave), a bicycle circuit and basketball.

Throughout the festival we are planning to have master-classes, talks, exhibits and various entertainment to include quizzes, competitions, children’s entertainment, games, photography, body painting and yoga and much more…

Evening entertainment and Thursday night naked disco!

At Natfest 2011 you can be free to wander to the beautiful beach or lounge around the pool but we are also putting on a full entertainment programme if you wish to join in. Come and stay at the site with us or just come in for the day it’s up to you and you can always introduce your textile friends to the pleasures of a life without clothes. It will also give you the opportunity to just sit and chat with other Naturists from many other countries and arrange to meet them again at next year’s event.

NATURIST EVENT IN ISRAEL 2ND SEPTEMBER 2010

Dear Naturist,

The Naturist Community Management Legacy of Pinhas Barak invites all the naturists around the world to a naturist event on Thursday, 2nd September 2010 from 19:00 until 1:00 AM. 

The event will be at Hamei Ga'ash hot springs spa near Tel Aviv in Israel. 

Programme: singing and dancing led by Master of Ceremonies Moshik Ben Zvi (Binyamina Winery).


We will spend our time around the pools, singing, dancing, swimming and celebrating birthdays of Virgo naturists.


Hamei Ga'ash  has both outdoor and indoor pools and also includes hot tubs, thermal showers, saunas and dressing rooms. The hamburger stand and cafe will be open.
