A 12-step guide to an enjoyable sauna session
STEP 1. Reserve enough time.
STEP 2. Begin by taking a shower.
STEP 3. It is recommended to use something to sit on, a towel for example.
STEP 4. The temperature should not be more than
80-90° C (100° at the most). Adjust the humidity by throwing water on the heater.
STEP 5. When you've warmed up yourself, go to cool off for a while.
STEP 6. Return in the heat, throw some water.Now is the time to use the vihta.
STEP 7. Heat and steam competitions are unhealthy and do not belong to the sauna.
STEP 8. Return to the heat according to your liking. Spend as much time in the heat as you feel comfortable. A fast transition from hot to cold surroundings is not recommended.Those worried for their health should consult a doctor.
