Kate Perry and Russel Band to tie knot in India::
Amidst an array of flashbulbs – since the paparazzi had all gathered at the Jaipur airport – arrived the members of Katy Perry’s band, and other musicians,being the first ones to land in India for the singer’s wedding.

We saw Svend Lerche, Aaron Light and other musicians in the morning at the Jaipur airport. Katy, as the buzz has been doing the rounds, is all set to marry comedian and long-time beau, Russell Brand on October 23 at the Rambagh Palace. Of course,as of now,everyone who arrives, is being whisked off straight to the jungles of Ranthambore, where all the guests will enjoy a holiday and go on a safari before they all congregate for the wedding in Jaipur.
Says an airport official, “They will be arriving in batches.The first flight landed in the morning, and the second is supposed to land at four in the afternoon.” The locals at Ranthambore, however, have begun to recognise Katy and Brand, even though they can’t pronounce their names correctly. One of them told us, “The couple that is going to get married are already here, and they will all be going from here for that.”
At the Aman-i- Khas, a luxury resort where the couple is staying, we saw a team of private security guards stationed at the entrance. All the three entrances leading to the resort have been blocked. Though the staff there said they were clueless about international stars staying there, Satyajit, one of the security officer told us, “The entire resort has been booked for a month, there are no booking happening at the moment. We have no clue about any wedding, but we’ve been asked to be here on a special duty.”
About the wedding celebrations: though who from India will be attending is still unclear, we’ve got to know that Pakistan’s wellknown couple Moin and Nasreen Querishi have been invited. They are very close friends of the celebrity couple and had organized a private party in Delhi immediately after Katy and Russell’s engagement last year, at Jaipur. The buzz is also that Pernia Qureshi, the stylist for the film “Aisha”will be styling the wedding costume for the celebrity couple at their wedding.
